We’ve got some exciting news! ALX Rwanda showed up strong at Giants of Africa 2025 Youth forum Day, and let’s just say, we didn’t come to play, we came to inspire giants as we showcased our very own giants. .

Hosted at the iconic BK Arena in Kigali, the event gathered over 2,500 youth from 20+ countries across the continent for the first day which was the Youth Day Forum. While basketball was the heartbeat, the message was bigger, dream big, lead boldly, and change Africa. And that’s where ALX came in.
Inside the arena, we brought serious heat:
- A powerful pitwalk featuring our alumni and staff in real-time convos about their growth journeys.
- An inspiring fireside chat with 3 amazing ALX alumni hosted by our amazing GM - Kenya&Rwanda Nimie Chaylone that left the room buzzing with hope and motivation.
- A TED-style entrepreneurship showcase, introduced by Philip and led by:
- Branice (Signverse)
- Prisca (Neem)
- Kelvin (Minetech)
Outside the arena, our brand ambassadors owned the space, engaging crowds at our branded booths, sharing flyers, doing activations, and answering tons of questions about what ALX is all about. The energy was contagious!
And the cherry on top?
- Our Founder and CEO, Fred Swaniker, was in the building!
- Masai Ujiri, founder of GOA, gave a big shoutout to Fred and ALX during his keynote.
- The first part of the Youth Day Forum event ended with an electrifying performance from Chriss Eazy who is not only a decorated artist, but also an alumni of ALX AiCE course.
- We were front and center during the evening’s official opening ceremony, graced by His Excellency President Paul Kagame, who expressed his appreciation for GOA and its partners (like ALX!) are doing for Africa’s youth.
ALX branding was everywhere, digital screens, arena banners, merch, you couldn’t miss us. From impactful storytelling to on-ground engagement and high-level recognition, this was a moment of pride for us all. We’re not just attending events, we’re shaping narratives and building Africa’s future leaders.
